REGISTER TO BUY OR SELL ON CENTRAL AUCTION GROUP
Registering for Central Auction Group is simple, you can either click on the "Register" button in the upper right hand corner or click on the "Register Now" button in the banner on the homescreen. You can contact support@centralauctiongroup.com at anytime to help register for www.centralauctiongroup.com.
Once registered a representive from Central Auction Group will contact you to approve your registration process and walk you through any questions on using www.centralauctiongroup.com. Once your registration is approved you can starting buying and selling.

How to Buy
REGISTER
Buyers must register and be approved by Central Auction Group before they are authorized to bid on items. Registration is free and creating an account allows you to add items to your watch list, edit preferences, post your own items, and place bids.
SEARCHING FOR ITEMS
Once you locate items of interest, you can start bidding or add them to your watch list. Your watch list is accessible through your "My Profile" section once you have registered and logged into Central Auction Group.
BIDDING
Central Auction Group Items can be won in four different ways:
Bid Exactly allows you to place a one-time bid of a definite amount. You will receive an email if another user outbids you for that item. At that time, you can log back into the website and choose to enter a higher bid. E-mail notifications will not be sent for the last hour of the auction.
Auto Bid gives Central Auction Group permission to automatically increase your bid when someone outbids you, up to your maximum bid amount. Auto Bid saves you time and effort by doing the bidding for you.

Buy it Now allows you to purchase the auctioned item for a predetermined set price. Not all listings will have Buy it Now options, but if available, it does it offer an immediate purchase of the listed item.
Make Offer allows you to send a offer to the seller on their material, if the seller accepts your offer they will contact you directly.
SEND PAYMENT & ARRANGE PICKUP
At the close of a listing, the highest bidder will be invoiced by Central Auction Group. Central Auction Group will notify the seller when payment has been received and to release the item, once the item is released Central Auction Group will release payment to the seller. Currently Central Auction Group accepts Wire Transfer, Cashiers Check or Company Check. If payment is made by Company Check the item will not be released for 10 business days.
*Please note that these terms will be dictated by the seller and listed on the bid details page, all options may not be available.
How to Sell
REGISTER
Sellers must register with Central Auction Group before they are authorized to post items. Registration is free, takes about a minute, and creating an account allows you to post items and edit preferences. Once a new registration is approved, Sellers are able to login and start posting items.
POST NEW ITEM
Once you have logged into your account, new listings can be created by clicking on the Post New Item Link in the upper right corner of the site.
Some of the customization options Central Auction Group offers the seller are:
- Choose a Buy It Now, Bid auction or Make Offer
- Choose both Buy It Now and Bid auction format
- Set reserve price
- Set pickup/transportation options
- Create sellers terms
- Optional inspections
Sellers can then enter item details and upload pictures directly onto the website. After submitting your listings, a Central Auction Group representative will review your listing and send you a confirmation email when the listing is approved and posted.
RECEIVE PAYMENT
At the close of an auction, the highest bidder and the Seller will receive an email that the auction has closed and the high bid amount. Central Auction Group will collect payment from the Buyer and notify the Seller when payment has been received and to arrange release of the item. Once the Seller has released the item to the Buyer Central Auction Group will release payment to the Seller.
